I have been arrested by immigration enforcment in the UK for working with fraudulent documents.

I am from a Balkan country and wanted to know whether this would mean that I also have a Schengen entry ban.

I cannot answer with any certainty whether you have a Schengen ban. However, it does seem quite clear that any such ban could not be issued by the United Kingdom. See the europa.eu page on the Schengen Information System:

The United Kingdom operates the SIS but, as it has chosen not to join the Schengen area, the UK cannot issue or access Schengen-wide alerts for refusing entry or stay into the Schengen area.

What is a Schengen alert?

SIS enables border guards, as well as visa issuing and migration authorities, to enter and consult alerts on third-country nationals for the purpose of refusing their entry into or stay in the Schengen area.

Do embassies know about visa refusal in other countries?

The embassy doesn't track your refusal, CLASS does. That's a database accessible to every American consular officer in the world at the click of a mouse, so it's not just the embassy where the visa refusal takes place.

What are the penalties for overstaying in Schengen?

You could receive a fine, immediate deportation or even get banned from entering the Schengen Area for a period. It is also important to remember that the 90/180 day rule also applies to countries with a visa waiver agreement with the Schengen Area.

Can you go to jail for overstaying your visa in UK?

It is a criminal offence to overstay your visa without a good reason. You will not be lawfully allowed to work, and if caught doing so, could also face a prison sentence. If your period of overstay exceeds the 90 day limit, you will more likely than not face an exclusion on re-entering the UK for at least one year.
