Am I allowed to enter Germany with extended passport and German Blau Card
I'm Ukrainian living and working in Germany. I have residence permit and Blau Card. My passport has been expired and it is already half a year since I'm waiting for a new one.
I'm planning to travel abroad outside of Schengen and worry if have issues crossing the boarder to Germany on my way back.
From reading the rules here http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=celex:32013R0610 I understood that if I prolong my passport for another 12 months and have my residence permit card (which references my passport) I'm authorized to enter Germany, the country who issued the residence permit.
Have I understood this correctly? Are there any other additional conditions which I missed? The document is hugely long and I wonder if I missed something crucial.
