Is barcode behind passport important?

The VFS affixed a barcode sticker to the back of your passport; this is so that they can track when your passport is sent to the consulate, received at the consulate, returned to the VFS, and returned to the applicant. Each time the sticker is scanned a computer system is updated with the new status.

Does UK stamp passport on refusal?

The UK embassy doesn't put any stamp on passport for refusal. They just provide a letter with rejection reason. So the other countries embassy will not be able to found out if any visa is rejected earlier . However,if the visa is rejected for any reason other then minute issue it may effect.

Where is the QR code on passport?

A QR code is a black and white square barcode that connects the 'UK Immigration: ID Check' app to your application. You can find the QR code on the web page for your application when you select 'Confirm your identity'. It does not appear in your identity document.

What does border control see when they scan your passport?

The computer chip or machine readable passports do not hold your criminal records or any other personal information other than your name, place of birth, date of birth, passport number and the issue and expiry dates of the document. The chip is capable of carrying other information, but not criminal records.
