Traveling to Canada with a US Passport after Name Change

Traveling to Canada with a US Passport after Name Change - View Of Niagara Falls And The Cityscape At Night

I got my first (US) passport in Jan 2021, and I was married to my Canadian husband in Oct 2021. I have seen that US citizens can travel with a passport with a previous name as long as its accompanied with documentation of the name change progression (like a marriage certificate), but I'm curious if Canada will allow this or if I would be turned away when I go to visit.

I have finally been able to legally change my name - since Canada takes 3 months to issue the certificates - and I'd like to NOT have to pay another passport fee just a year after getting it, but if thats what it takes then so be it!
