Seaside destinations in Japan for nature and scenery? [closed]

Seaside destinations in Japan for nature and scenery? [closed] - Amazing scenery of Amanohashidate sandbar covered with pine trees and connecting Miyazu Bay surrounded by green hills

I'm seeking seaside resort towns for a nature getaway or retreat, where I can enjoy views of water too. I tried https://www.japan.travel/en/us/ and Need seaside town suggestion please - Japan Forum - TripAdvisor

We want to find a seaside town/city to go to next. We love rocky beaches, nature hikes, history, the smell of ocean air, the scenery of water, and we want to experience Japan in a smaller town way. So far, this forum has suggested Miyajima as a good seaside destination, but based on our itinerary, it seems like we keep going west of Tokyo and we will have to come all the way back to get on the plane. Any other suggestion for seaside town or rerouting of our itinerary? Our return flight is in the afternoon.

but these criteria must be fulfilled.

  1. No dangerous animals or uncivilized boondocks. No Caniformia or snakes.

  2. I won't drive, and must rely on public transport and walking less than 5 km in total.

  3. No shrines, temples or any religious edifice.

  4. OPTIONAL: I fancy water bodies, the more the better.

I would recommend Shikoku. It's kind of the forgotten island with the least tourism, from both Japanese and foreigners.

It's very natural and although public transportation isn't as regular (as would be expected from a lower population island) it's still decent with some planning: http://www.tourismshikoku.org/index.php/transportation/getting-around-in-shikoku/

Renting a couple of bikes will also really help you get around the places you want to go. MOST of the people in Shikoku live in ocean towns and ocean cities.

Another option is in Wakayama prefecture. Shirahama is popular in the summer, but in autumn and early spring winter you can enjoy people-free beaches.
