Check ETA approval

I've applied for ETA through EasyETA.com. It says in the confirmation email that my application has been approved. However, I would like to double confirm my approval (as I did not apply through the official Australia immigration department immi.gov.au.

Is there a way for me to check it with the immigration department?

It seems best to go to the official Australia Department of Immigration and Border Protection Electronic Travel Authority web site to check your ETA.

It appears to be legitimate for third party web sites to accept applications for an ETA. It is noted by an official web site that: "Your travel agent or airline can also book your ETA."

How do I check my eTA status?

If you applied for an eTA, you can check your status online....Instead, use the Web form and follow these steps:

Under \u201cType of application\u201d, select \u201cElectronic travel authorization\u201d.

Then select \u201cCase-specific enquiries\u201d.

Provide as many details as possible. It can take us several days to get back to you.

Can you confirm the eTA?

Yes, your clients can confirm their status by using the eTA check status tool. The Government of Canada will also send email updates to the email address provided on the eTA application form.

How long does eTA approval take?

Most eTA applications are approved within three days. In case of an urgent application, the average time for an eTA application can be as short as 18 minutes. However, in exceptional cases, it may take longer to approve an application, even for urgent applications.
