i an going to australia for 6 months and then I want to travel for 2 months through southeast asia.
I do not know what luggage or backpack to buy be.
Any advice is welcome.
More precisely, my questions are:
What size (in litres) is a good idea? 40 litres for the two month travel is too small?
For the two month travel, a luggage with wheels will be a bad idea?
Thanks.

A backpack is definitely more practical for a 5 week trip to Thailand.....not a lot of elevators & escalators outside of Bangkok, plus getting on/off busses, boats, trains, and even walking on uneven surfaces will be much more hassle with a suitcase on wheels. Can you travel Asia with a suitcase?
First things first, suitcases are incredibly impractical for Southeast Asia and you shouldn't even consider taking one. The streets are frequently unpaved, full of potholes and many of the islands in Thailand, for example, don't even have roads. You'll need to bring a backpack, and the smaller the better. Can you use a backpack instead of a suitcase?
If you fly to your destination and stay in the same hotel or resort for the duration of your trip, a suitcase is probably the most convenient option. If you plan to move around from place to place during your trip, a backpack will better suit you. For long trips, backpacks are usually the better choice.Packing Guide for South East Asia // FREE PACKING LIST DOWNLOAD
