Is the Rome Marathon hard?

Despite Rome being the 'City of Seven Hills' the race is very flat. This gives runners the chance of a PB. However with cobblestones en route some participants will struggle. For all those who make it to the end they will end the race close to the start, back at the Coliseum.

Can you walk the Rome Marathon?

Fun Race \u2013 no date announced yet for 2023 The fun race, the City Run of Rome takes place before the official marathon. Anyone can achieve this and enter the race, whether you are 0 or 99 years old! Non-competitive and open to anyone, walk or run the 45km and take in the sites at your leisure.

Is Rome Marathon good?

Overall, I strongly recommend the Rome marathon. Once you've got past the irritating entry system the organisation is generally excellent, the marshals and volunteers all helpful and cheerful and the noise and atmosphere second to none. I recommend staying in the Monti area.

Can anyone run the Rome Marathon?

All Powerwalking practitioners and enthusiasts are welcome at the new Rome Marathon and will find guidance and support from their specific pacers, who will accompany them on sport walks throughout the route at the appropriate pace, from the relatively relaxed 6 hr 30 min pace to the high-performance 5 hr 45 min pace.
