Will I need ESTA and I-94 [duplicate] - Multicolor Heart Shaped Candies

I am a UK citizen and will be flying to Toronto in September and spending 2 weeks in Canada before traveling by train from Montreal to New York for 4 days and then flying back to the UK form New York. Will I need to apply for an ESTA and a I-94 for my trip to the US?

Is I-94 same as ESTA?

What is the I-94 form? The so-called I-94 form or entry form initially documents entry and exit into or from the U.S. of travelers holding a nonimmigrant visa or an approved ESTA authorization, i.e. participants of the Visa Waiver Program.

What happens if I lost my I-94?

If your I-94 card is lost, stolen or seriously damaged, you can apply to replace it by filing Form I-102, Application for Replacement/Initial Arrival-Departure Document. As with most immigration forms, USCIS requires supporting documents to be filed along with Form I-102.

How can I get a copy of my old I-94?

If you need a copy of your I-94 record of admission for verification of alien registration, immigration status or employment authorization, it can be obtained at www.cbp.gov/I94.

Do you need to update I-94?

Now, when you renew your Passport in US, you need to make sure you update your I-94 expiration as well to be in valid legal status in US. Just having valid visa in old passport is not sufficient.
