Having been to Rio Carnaval in 2009, I would like to experience the equivalent in Bahia in Salvador, Brazil. Please suggest an itinerary to experience the Carnaval and other attractions.

Three days would be good, depending on what you want to do. If you want to get a solid feel for the history and take in beaches, maybe count on five or six.
