I have a ticket for Air India, which I booked a month ago. However now when I checked the status of ticket online, it says
(needs revalidation or exchange)
Further the timing for the flight has been changed. Is my e-ticket still valid? Will I have problems at check-in?
Best Answer
Call the airline and ask. Clearly something has happened to your booking. It would be dangerous to just try to check in, or to wait to deal with it at the airport on the day of departure.

How can I revalidate my Air India ticket?
You can change your travel itinerary after you have purchased your ticket through our offices or through an authorized travel agent. In case you do, please get your ticket appropriately revalidated at any of our offices, airport ticket counters, or by an authorized travel agency. What does it mean to revalidate ticket?
Revalidation is when the date for your flight is changed in the airline system. You can just present your original ticket at the airport for check in, even though your new itinerary is different. Obviously reissuing a ticket is more time consuming and costly than revalidation, but not all date changes require reissue. What is reissuance of ticket?
A reissue is a name or date of birth change on your ticket. Tickets are issued in the name of the attendees at the time of purchase and the ticket can only be used by the person whose name appears on the ticket. Reissues allow you to change the name if the original attendee is no longer able to use the ticket. What does ticket validity mean?
For all other travel, a ticket is valid for one year from the original date of issuance and travel must commence within this validity period. Once travel has commenced, then all travel must be completed within one year from the date on which travel commenced.HOW TO REVALIDATE ELECTRONIC TICKET
