How much time is needed in FRA?

How much time should I allow myself to get from Frankfurt Airport train station to Terminal 2, check in and fly (with Emirates Airline)? What if I check in online (but still have bags to drop off?)?

There is a train arriving 2h15 before my departure time. Is that enough, or should I arrive 3h15 before?

2:15 should be plenty. Emirates' official recommendations if you've already checked in online are:

When do I need to arrive at the airport if I check in online?

If you are checking baggage, you will need to arrive at the airport at least ninety (90) minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. If you are not checking baggage, you must arrive at the airport at least sixty (60) minutes prior to scheduled departure.

But these are not hard cutoffs: in reality, though, they close just 15 minutes before departure (at least in DXB, not entirely sure about FRA). I've checked in an hour before an international flight and still made it through, but that was with access to the premium checkin lines and without checked baggage. YMMV.

How much time do you need at Frankfurt Airport?

To make an international to international connection: 45 minutes. Airport guidelines also suggest a minimum of 45 minutes for international connections, but given the size of the airport, allowing 60-90 minutes would provide a more comfortable buffer.

Is 2 hours layover enough at Frankfurt Airport?

Typically, an hour is already enough in Frankfurt. However, there can always be an uncommonly long line or some other issue, and then two hours are better. Your main concern should be that LH typically doesn't wait for connections, and those are often delayed.

Is 1 hour enough to transfer in Frankfurt?

For those with through checked baggage or no luggage, on a single ticket, I would recommend a minimum 1.5 hour connection time, even though airlines can book you with a shorter connection time. If you're on separate tickets but with no luggage or through checked luggage, I'd recommend a 2 hour or more connection time.

Is 50 minutes enough layover in Frankfurt?

A: The official “minimum connecting time” for international connections at Germany's premier airport is only 45 minutes – the same as Aberdeen, which, as you know, is much smaller. Each airline will decide if this is realistic; Lufthansa, by far the biggest carrier at Frankfurt, evidently thinks it is.
