Given a flight route specified with one or several flight numbers, how can I see how the price changes throughout the year? I.e., from today, see how the price of the route changes from day to day. I couldn't find a way to do so on Google Flights, aside from manually trying different days, which is tedious.

E.g., the following graph for UA 2604:

Best Answer

Can be done on ITA Matrix, Prices for UA2604 in March. Prices vary between $44 and $174, i.e. almost by a factor of 4.

Of course, this depends on whether it's a one-way or part of a round trip, basic vs regular, advanced booking time, bags, and many other potential variables.

How do I keep track of flight prices?

Track prices for a route or flight
  • Go to Google Flights.
  • At the top, choose the number of stops, cabin class, and how many tickets you need.
  • Choose your departure airport and destination.
  • To track prices for this route, turn on Track prices.

  • Do flight numbers change daily?

In many cases, those flight numbers repeat daily; flight 100 on American Airlines always goes between JFK and London Heathrow seven days a week, while 101 runs the same route in reverse. In some special cases, the routes have a special meaning.

    Can flight numbers change?

Yes, it is quite common thing for flight times and flight numbers to change after you make your reservation. Many times, the airline has nothing to do with the changes. The FAA can have airlines change the time, due to too many flights arriving or departing at one time, etc.

How can I check my old airline tickets?

You can track prices of a flight using Google Flights by searching for the flight and then enabling "track prices". If you have past flight tickets sent to your Gmail account, it will also show you price history of past flights.
