I found an identical question asked 3 years ago here: Does an EU citizen need to get health insurance before flying to London?
I'm looking for an updated answer valid after Brexit.
In particular my Italian girlfriend is going to London as a visiting researcher for 5 months starting next Jul and we're struggling to understand if we (or any other EU citizen) need to get a private health insurance or Italian EHIC is enough in this transitional period before actual Brexit.
