Connecting in Liverpool on separate tickets with carry-on only

Connecting in Liverpool on separate tickets with carry-on only - Couple hugging and using smartphone near sea on sunset

I'm flying from A->B->C with two different companies and separate tickets. I only have a hand luggage, so I will not need to collect and check in a luggage. A and B are not Schengen, while C is. In airport B, Liverpool, there is only one terminal.

When I land at Liverpool, do I have to leave the transit area and go through the security checks again?

With luggage checked-in I would need to go out, collect, check-in again, and pass through security controls. However, it's not clear to me if this also applies with just a carry-on luggage.

Do I have to go through security again with a connecting flight?

For connecting domestic flights, you almost never have to exit and reenter security, though there are some exceptions at airports where the terminals aren't all connected. For domestic-to-international connection, it's still pretty rare that you have to exit and reenter security, even if you're changing terminals.

Do I need a second boarding pass for connecting flight?

Re: Do I have to get a new boarding pass to connecting flight? Yes. Each flight requires its own BP. Usually, you get all of them when you check in.

Is my flight a connecting flight?

A connecting flight is two or more subsequent flights. To put it simply, having a connecting flight means you will have to change planes. You will not be flying directly from A to B, but there will also be C. You will fly from A to C, and then from C to B.
