Can I visit London with a US visit visa during a 11 hours lay over at LHR? [duplicate] - Serious diverse couple searching way on map

I hold an Indian passport and I am flying to Seattle, US from Bangalore, India via LHR, London and the layover is 11 hours. Can I visit London with the US visit visa I have (this is accepted in many countries I heard)?

Do British Airways provide any help in this kind of situation either to visit or stay comfy at airport?

The US visa lets you transit airside in the UK but it doesn't let you leave the international part of the airport.

Do I need transit visa for London if I have US visa?

No, you will need to apply for the transit visa at the UK embassy or visa application centre in your country before you travel.

Can you enter London during layover?

Some travellers call it a 'layover'. There are 2 types of transiting: 'airside' - you do not pass through UK border control before you leave on your connecting journey. 'landside' - you do pass through UK border control, but come back through it and leave the UK within a short amount of time (usually 24 hours)

Do I need a visa if I have a connecting flight in London?

You might need a Visitor in Transit visa if you're: changing flights in the UK on your way to another country. going through UK border control, for example to check in your luggage for a connecting flight. leaving the UK within 48 hours.

Do you have to go through immigration on a connecting flight at Heathrow?

Unfortunately it's not possible for you to go through customs and passport control to meet the person transferring flights unless you're also checked-in for a flight leaving that airport terminal that day.

You heard wrong. (Schengen transit visa is the only one where a US resident visa makes the Schengen transit unnecessary but I am unaware of any visitor visas which a US visitor visa can replace.)

Do British Airways provide any help in this kind of situation either to visit

No airline I ever heard of will help with visas.

or stay comfy at airport

Sure, there are lounges if you have no status and flying on economy then there are paid lounges provided by the airport, I believe you will be at Terminal 5, Aspire The Lounge is one I remember there might be more.
