You need to book a tour to go on the full 17-mile Monument Valley loop drive. Self-driving is not allowed at this time. You'll ride in your outfitter's vehicle. According to Louise Tsinijinnie, media representative for Navajo Nation Parks, most vehicles are open air and can hold 10 to 12 passengers.
