Why is TAM Airlines baggage allowance so much? [closed]

I travel around Europe, and also between Australia and Europe quite a bit and am always frustrated with the low luggage allowance (just 23kg per person normally).

I do also travel to Brazil quite a bit and TAM Airlines have a baggage allowance of 2 x 32kg each (64kg!!).

Why do they offer such a large baggage allowance when so many other airlines can't?

It seems they also offer it only from London and Frankfurt to Brazil - why is this?

My fiance is Brazilian - and believe me when I say - needs the 64kg for all the clothes and shoes we normally take over there. I'm just wondering why it seems to be just TAM offering this.

Why is there a limit in baggage?

Because there is a total limit including the weight of the plane, weight of the passengers,supplies and food,and luggage in order for the plane to be able to stay up in the air. If the total weight is above a ceryain amount the engines and structure of the plane might not be able to sustain flight and it could crash.

How many bags can you check on Latam?

On Latam Airlines, the allowance for checked bags on domestic flights varies as per your selected class of service. In the Economy Plus class, one bag of 23 kgs is allowed. 2 bags of 23 kgs are allowed in Economy Top class while 3 bags can be carried in the Premium Economy and Business class.

Why cabin baggage is not allowed?
