Before spending money on buying a kick scooter, I want to ask around on which is faster.
I searched on some forums but the answers may be biased (skaters). I have been using a cruiser board for some time.
The road to commute may have up and down hills and some obstacles and speed ramps, can a kick scooter go faster and require less energy?

However, they are a poor choice for long, rough, hilly, or all-weather commutes. Are skateboards or scooters faster?

The average walking speed is around 3mph, while jogging comes in around 5mph. Scooting trumps both at roughly 7mph! While these vary based on the person and the route you're taking, they're safe estimates. As you can see from the chart below, a 30 min scoot takes you twice as far as a walk would. Are Kick Scooters good for long distance?
Riding kick scooters are ideal for taking short journeys \u2013 popping to the shops or commuting to and from work that is not too far away. But they can also be used for longer journeys.LOL, a Grown-up on a Kick-Scooter!?
