I'm planning to spend five days in Cinque Terre, to hike in the area and explore the five towns. Is there one town in particular that would be a good base and where I should look for accommodation?

The most important thing to know here is that portions of the blue trail between Riomaggiore, Manarola, and Corniglia (the southern three villages) are completely closed off until 2023 for repairs and prevention of landslides.
