When will the Sistine Chapel open after the Papal Conclave?

The Sistine Chapel is now closed for visitors.

When will it reopen after a pope is elected? My question is does anyone know how many days after the conclave is done, it is re-opened?

As the Conclave has now come to an end with the election of Pope Francis, the Sistine Chapel will reopen for visits by the public on Monday 18 March at 9am. It will also again be possible to visit the Borgia Apartment and the Collection of Modern Religious Art.

Can you still visit the Sistine Chapel?

You have to go through the Vatican Museums in order to reach the Sistine Chapel. The walk alone can take up to 30 minutes and you also have to go through an additional metal detector to enter. Once inside, there is a lot to see and do which you will want to give yourself time to experience.
