I'm a US citizen in their late twenties who plans to visit Canada frequently (monthly or bi-monthly) to see a significant other.

I usually visit once a year to visit family in Montreal. I'm planning to visit Ottawa with increased frequency.

Beyond preparing documentation of the relationship - do I need to be aware of anything else? Are there special rules I need to be aware of given the frequency of visits?

For context:

  • I plan short visits - mostly long weekends (3-4 days)
  • I have a good job in the US that I intend on keeping.
  • I've known my significant other for 3 years. We been dating for 1 year.
  • I will be flying in each time from Boston
