Transfer at Beijing flying on separate ticket [closed] - Faceless woman buying metro ticket via electronic machine

I will be travelling to China (Lanzhou) from Mumbai (BOM) and I plan on booking two separate tickets since its cheaper.

Actually I have already booked the final leg of my journey. Below are the details:

For the initial part of my trip, I have two options for reaching PEK.

Option a)

Option b)

So what are your thoughts on these two options. If I choose options b) then is there sufficient time for the transfer from international to domestic at PEK.

Also since CA and SQ are both Star Alliance member is it possible that my luggage can be checked all the way through to LHW.

If you spot any potential problem in the above itinerary then please let me know. I will be having an Indian passport with Z-type single entry Chinese visa with 000 days validity.

Do you need another ticket for connecting flight?

A: It depends, but the general rule is NO. Some airlines will through check baggage onto separately ticketed flights, but some won't (even if both tickets are with the same airline). Some airlines will take pity if your delay is due to them, but others don't.

Can you transit through Beijing?

24-Hour Direct Transit Under the 24-hour visa-free transit rule, no visa is required for international flight, ship, or train passengers who transit directly through mainland China and will stay for less than 24 hours. Passengers should hold tickets to a third country or region and have a confirmed seat.

What to do if you have a close connecting flight?

Sit Near the Front of the Plane If you know you have a tight airport connection, try to get a seat toward the front of the cabin on your first flight. Even if you have to pay, being near the exit door can shave 5 to 10 minutes off your deplaning time\u2014especially on larger planes.

Can you transfer flights in China?

For transfer passengers, you need to do COVID-19 nucleic acid and IgM serum antibody tests again at the transit airport. So, you must leave enough transit time to get the results (at least 10 hours) before going on to China.
