Ticket types and tips for complex Europe/Asia flights
I am planning a long and complicated holiday to Asia and would like suggestions on the best approach to buying airline tickets (I've previously only booked budget short-haul flights and just discovered what open-jaw was so perhaps there are all sorts of clever tips and tricks I am ignorant of). My planned itinerary is:
- Mid May: London, UK -> Seoul, South Korea
- Late June: Seoul -> Osaka, Japan
- Late July: Tokyo, Japan -> Warsaw, Poland
- Late August: Gdansk, Poland -> London
Getting everything as one-way tickets is presumably more expensive, but could I structure this as some more complex ticket type, or a combination thereof? Could I use things like stopovers that last for several weeks, or are they usually only allowed for short stays?
