What kind of power plug is used in Ireland?

Is it the typical plug used in most of Europe? Or is it the British one?

(Could you attach or link to a photo so I can make sure?)

As others have mentioned, it's the same as the UK.

Ireland & the UK are quite culturally close (and were the same country until 1922), so anything bought in the UK would have to work in Ireland. There are numerous 'high street' UK chains operating in Ireland selling the same merchandise.

Does Ireland use the same plugs as Europe?

But what do those electrical outlets look like? In Ireland, type G is the official standard. Unlike almost all other European countries, the Republic of Ireland has standardized on the British plug and socket system, which is incompatible with the power outlet system used in Continental Europe.

Does Ireland use EU or UK plugs?

The electricity voltage and the plugs and sockets are identical to the UK. US visitors to Ireland do need adaptors and may need transformers/converters.

Does England and Ireland use the same plugs?

UK visitors to Ireland do not need adaptors etc. The electricity voltage and the plugs and sockets are identical to the UK.

Do you need a European adapter for Ireland?

This means that you will not need a converter or transformer but just a travel adaptor, because Ireland operates on a 230V supply voltage, which is within the 110-240V range that the dual voltage appliance operates on.
