misdemeanor in the US, citizen of Russia, travel to UK - Crop unrecognizable person demonstrating British passport

I am a citizen of the Russian Federation and a permanent resident of the US. My American ex wife has obtained a restraining order against me and I was arrested for violating the order through what she was able to claim was social network "cyberstalking". No physical or sexual violence or threats of violence were involved, but I have an arrest and a conviction and was on probation for a misdemeanor. I was not sentenced to jail time. Now that the probation is over with, do I have any hopes of obtaining a tourist visa to the UK if I present all my court-related paperwork together with my application?
