Flight ticket combination only available through agency

Flight ticket combination only available through agency - Orange and Green Label Airplane Ticket

I'd like to fly within Europe in these troubled days. Air France has a good combination (with a short connection of 50 minutes in CDG, with change of terminal). However, AF websites doesn't sell the combination. It does sell the two legs of the journeys separately, however. The combination is only available through opodo and gotogate.

Should I trust buying through them? I am concerned that I could be not covered about the short connection with terminal transfer, in case complications (e.g. due to COVID) arise: my final destination is not France, so this could be dangerous.

Opodo says "Connection covered by Air France": do you think this is reliable?

Any advice welcome.

How do I combine plane tickets?

It's possible to buy flights from two different airlines when booking, just add each flight one at a time. i.e create a trip with two one-way flights instead of a return trip. Good to know: Two one-way flights with low-cost airlines usually come to the same price as a return flight with one of them.

Can you check in separately on the same booking?

Each person is issued a separate ticket, you may all be on the same reservation, that is, have the same confirmation number but each passenger is given an individual ticket, even if they don't occupy a seat (as in the case of infants).

Can you fly with separate tickets?

A: It depends, but the general rule is NO. Some airlines will through check baggage onto separately ticketed flights, but some won't (even if both tickets are with the same airline). Some airlines will take pity if your delay is due to them, but others don't.

Is it cheaper to book a flight through the airline?

It's important to weigh the options when considering booking with an OTA versus directly with an airline. Sometimes, you'll be able to find a cheaper fare on an OTA compared to directly through the airline. At other times, the price will actually be cheaper with the airline.
