I understand that if I arrive to Jordan through Aqaba I can get a one month free visa with the condition to leave the country through one of the 3 Aqaba borders (Saudi Arabia, ferry to Egypt or international flight). But I want to visit the whole country, not only Aqaba. Does the free ASEZA visa allow me to travel to Petra, Wadi Rum and other places across Jordan?

If arriving in Aqaba, your visa to Jordan will be free, thanks to the special economic zone designated for the Aqaba area (ASEZA). If you leave again through Aqaba's borders, your exit will also be free; however, you'll be charged for your visa if you leave through a different border.

A transit visa for Jordan is not required for any foreign traveler as long as they hold a ticket for onward travel within 48 hours of arriving in the country.
