Can the check-in agent at the airport see at what price the passenger has purchased the flight ticket?

Best Answer

In almost all cases the answer is yes. The check in agent has full access to the ticket details including the fare class and the specific conditions & restrictions. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to do any type of changes, upgrades, re-bookings, etc.

Can you see if someone has booked a flight?

No. Only way somebody else can check your reservation is if that person knew your name, flight number and the reservation code. Even then, they would not know if you boarded the flight. No airline will give out the passenger list of a given flight.

How are tickets verified at the airport?

Most airports and airlines have automatic readers that will verify the validity of the boarding pass at the jetway door or boarding gate. This also automatically updates the airline's database to show the passenger has boarded and the seat is used, and that the checked baggage for that passenger may stay aboard.

What does it mean when your plane ticket says See agent?

If your boarding pass has no seat assignment and says \u201csee agent,\u201d your flight may be oversold.

What does see gate agent mean on boarding pass?

You'll get your seat at the gate or it will populate on your boarding pass once the agent assigns you. "See agent" means see gate agent for your seat. If it was oversold it would ask if you want to bid for a travel voucher.
