Any commercial planes with non-Western toilets - Condor Airplane on Grey Concrete Airport

After some long-haul flights, travels in China, and exposure to this podcast (Fork Fashions and Toilet Trends) and that letter (Why the world deserves a better toilet) I cannot help but wonder this:

Are commercial airplanes universally equipped with Western toilets, or are there exceptions? For instance, I have encountered squat toilets on Chinese bullet trains, but I would not expect to encounter them on planes operated by Chinese carriers.

What type of toilets are used in Aeroplanes?

An aircraft lavatory or plane toilet is a small room on an aircraft with a toilet and sink. They are commonplace on passenger flights except some short-haul flights. Aircraft toilets were historically chemical toilets, but many now use a vacuum flush system instead.

How do you not use the bathroom on a plane?

Boarding and While Onboard
  • Avoid caffeine, alcohol and soft drinks to prevent frequent trips to the bathroom.
  • Consider limiting fluids before a flight. ...
  • Double-check aisle chair availability with airline staff at the gate.
  • Give flight attendants advance notice of accessibility needs.

  • How do pilots of small planes go to the bathroom?

Some small planes can be fitted with a pilot relief tube. This is effectively a tube connected to a small venturi outside the plane. The venturi creates a low pressure system that causes there to be some suction on the tube. The tube terminates in the cockpit near the seat and the pilot is able to relieve them self.

Is there a toilet in Cessna?

Don't know about Beech products, but the Cessna 340 through 441 have the optional belted toilet. There is a privacy curtain that will screen the toilet from all but the aftmost seat (if installed). They're not particularly useful and many owner/operators (including my folks) have the toilet removed to save weight.
