I completed the online application form for a UK visa. After I hit submit, I realized that the amount of money I wrote on my application is incorrect. Is there anything I can do to make a correction?

Best Answer

I had a similar problem. I mentioned it in the Visa Application Center, they let me make the correction in the form with a pen and sign next to it. Then this paper form was submitted along with the other documents. That was it and my visa didn't take any longer to process because of it.

What happens if you make a mistake on your application?

Simply stop in with a clean copy of the application in hand and ask to speak to the hiring manager. Introduce yourself, explain what happened, and say you'd like to correct the information. This can even work to your advantage if they see you as someone who cares enough to put in effort to right a wrong.

Can you submit an application twice?

Yes, you should absolutely apply for the role again. There are so many factors as to why you didn't get the job or interview. By the time you applied they might have already been in the final stages of the interview with their ideal candidate but then the candidate backed out.

Should you resend your application if you notice a mistake?

Resend your resume as soon as you notice the errors. There's a better chance of the hiring manager looking at the updated resume instead of the old resume when you catch mistakes early.
